History: When
I heard that RESEARCH FOUND that almost all department store and supermarket air fresheners,
bath salts, soaps, candles, pot-pourri and de-odourisers
contain ingredients that cause DEPRESSION, headaches
and other
problems for women and babies at home, I began to make my own for my body, house, car, laundry,
bathroom and office etc.
Now
I
create and sell this range. I only use the finest Australian and imported 100% essential oils (no "fragrant"
oils) in natural spring water (sprays and aroma-perfumes) or Grape Seed and
coconut Oil (massage
and bath
oils), I use a combination of Australian Sea Salts, Himalayan Sea Salts and
Epsom Salts - depending on the blend with high grade quality herbs and flowers,
For my candle and melts range I discovered soy wax ! This is a beautiful
creamy heating wax that creates the best aroma candles - with none of the damage
to our bodies or the environment that paraffin candles have.
I package my products in re-usable or
recyclable containers, with a minimum of packaging. Almost all the
containers after use, can be washed out and used for other purposes or recycled
in the right bin!

RESEARCH ARTICLE: Aerosols may harm mother and baby -
diarrhoea, earache, depression, headaches
New research carried out in the UK indicates that air fresheners and aerosols
can cause headaches and
depression in mothers and diarrhoea and earache in babies. The more
frequently the mother uses aerosols, it seems, the more likely she and her baby
are to have problems.
...Dr Farrow said pregnant mothers as well as infants up to the age of six
months are the most susceptible to household sprays because they spend the most
amount of time in the home.
Daily aerosol use (polish, deodorant,
hairspray) resulted in 32% more cases of infant's and mother's health problems.
Mothers were 26% more likely to suffer from depression, 10% more likely to have
headaches.
The study was carried out by scientists at Bristol University, UK. You can read
about it in the Archives of Environmental Health. The researchers suggest that
some people should consider limiting their use of aerosols.
