Usui Reiki Treatment for the improvement of body and mind.." Dr. Usui Mikao (Founder)
Reiki can assist you to experience:
Relief of stress and worries, sadness,
depression or grief Rejuvenation of vitality and energy Recovery from relationship break-ups or other loss Increased motivation and goal achievement Healing on all levels of mind, body, spirit What is Reiki? Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that
also promotes healing. Reiki is a spiritual healing art, performed using specific hand positions
over a clothed body. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based
on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what
causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more
likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of
being happy and healthy. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "Universal or God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy." What does a treatment feel like? A Reiki session is pure indulgence as well as healing. Great for health recovery as well as general wellbeing. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results. Is Reiki part of a religion? While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a
religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to
learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will
work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from God, many people
find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their
religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it. While Reiki is not a religion, it is still important to live and act in a way that promotes harmony with others. Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Reiki system of natural healing, recommended that one practice certain simple ethical ideals to promote peace and harmony, which are nearly universal across all cultures.
The procedure
Universal energy
Reiki is based on the premise that universal energy flows through all living
things. When blockages occur, this energy cannot flow freely through the body.
An experienced Reiki practitioner tunes into the universal energy and channel
energy to move these blockages. With these blockages removed, the body cells are
then prompted to heal naturally.I am a full member of The Australian Reiki Connection - the professional organisation for Reiki in Australia. Reiki and Energy Healing Testimonials:

Is Reiki Effective? The Use of Reiki in Hospitals (American Study) A survey by the International Association for Reiki Professionals (IARP) of “America’s Best Hospitals” to determine the extent that Reiki is used at the world’s finest and most progressive hospitals and what kinds of programs if any, formal or informal, are in place. What we found was: 60% of the respondents have Reiki programs, formal or informal, in place. Patricia Reilly, RN, MSN, Program Manager for Integrative Care at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA has ranked Reiki as highly beneficial for both patient and hospital. Ms. Reilly also added that “From my experience, patients really appreciate and enjoy the treatments.” Based on her experience with Reiki in the program, she highly recommends that other hospitals offer Reiki to their patients. Of the hospitals that offer Reiki, just about all said that they believe Reiki to be at least somewhat beneficial for patients. 67% of hospitals that offer Reiki went above and beyond that to say that they believe Reiki to be highly beneficial for patients. For more info see www.iarp.org Another study The vast majority of reports on the effectiveness of Reiki appear in popular rather than scientific literature. Proponents of Reiki cite the growing body of research in the field of Therapeutic Touch as evidence of the therapeutic transfer of energy through touch. One California study showed that Reiki can increase hemoglobin and hematocrit levels. The study compared 47 people participating in Reiki training and a small control group of 9 healthy medical professionals. The study found a significant increase in hemoglobin and hematocrit levels among the Reiki group and no significant change in the control group.
